NTM CREOULA - Postal da série LMC

One of two post cards depicting the Portuguese sail training ship CREOULA. Reference LMC 025.

CREOULA is a magnificent four-masted schooner built in Lisbon in 1937 as a Grand Banks cod fishing vessel owned by Parceria Geral de Pescarias of Lisbon. Withdrawn from fishing servive in late 1973. Purchased by the Portuguese State and converted into a sail traning ship 1979-1987. In 1987 CREOULA was transferred to the Portuguese Navy who has managed the ship ever since...
